Holiday destination
The house is just a few steps from the lido and the 27 km cycling path around Lake Varese, perfect for families and sports enthusiasts. Nearby, you can find golf, rowing, and tennis. Visit the Chiostro di Voltorre and the Pipe Museum. From June to September, the Stradivari ferry navigates the lake, stopping at Virginia Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover Varese, the "garden city," with its parks, museums, and the Sacro Monte. Laveno is just 15 minutes away, serving as a gateway to explore Lake Maggiore and the beauties of Lombardy and Piedmont, such as Santa Caterina and the Borromean Islands.
Getting there
Our B&B is located in Gavirate, a town on the shores of Lake Varese and in the heart of the so-called Seven Lakes of the province of Varese. La Casa Rossa is easily accessible both by car and by public transport. From the B&B you can walk to the Ferrovie Nord Milano station ( www.trenord.it ); in 15 minutes by train you can reach Laveno Mombello on Lake Maggiore or the center of Varese and in just over an hour the center of Milan. Malpensa International Airport is about 28 km away.
