Holiday destination
Unterammergau lies nestled in the Ammertal valley, approx. 24 km from Garmisch-Partenkirchen and only 3 km from the world-famous Passion play location Oberammergau. The municipality offers various leisure activities in both summer and winter. Additional leisure activities and facilities are a short ride away.
Unterammergau has a train station and trains to Munich depart nearly every hour. The bus stop is merely a few metres from the train station.
Getting there
If you travel by car via Munich, take the A95 München - Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Shortly after the autobahn ends in Oberau, turn right follow the signposting to Oberammergau. In Oberammergau, follow the bypass road and continue towards Unterammergau.
In Unterammergau, turn right after passing the crossing, then make a sharp turn onto the 2nd street on the left. Your destination is house no. 16 on the right.
If you travel by train, there's a direct connection from Munich via Murnau to Unterammergau; trains depart nearly every hour. As you leave the train station, walk towards the fountain. From there, keep to the right of the farmhouse you'll see on the opposite side of the road and you've arrived at your destination, the "Weiherweg".

Liebe Frau Siegmund, es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub in Unterammergau. Wir haben uns in ihrer Ferienwohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist super ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Zur Begrüßung frische Blumen aus dem Garten, einen Obstkorb, Dankeschön Herzschokolade, Begrüßungsgetränke und Leckerbissen für unsere Hündin Charisma, die es auch sehr genossen hat. Die Terrasse ist sehr gemütlich, mit Gartendeko, wunderschönen Blumen und gepflegter Anlage. Es wurde immer an unser Wohlergehen gedacht. Wir haben nochmals frische Handtücher bekommen. Sie sind eine liebe, hilfsbereite Vermieterin und sehr nett. Wir haben traumhafte Ausflüge in der Umgebung und nach Österreich gemacht. Lage der Wohnung top. Die Natur lädt zum wandern ein. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Ganz liebe Grüße und bleiben sie gesund.

Wir waren zum 2.mal in Unterammergau bei Frau Siegmund, es hat uns wieder sehr gut gefallen. Die Ferienwohnung ist super gepflegt und ausgestattet, es fehlt nichts. Frau Siegmund ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch für unseren Yorkie war es super,der schöne Garten und die überdachte Terrasse..einfach klasse. Das Wetter spielte nicht so mit,aber man kann ja auch mal einfach nur ausruhen vom stressigen Alltag. Ausflüge kann man von hier super starten, zB.ins Allgäu oder Zugspitze sind in einer guten halben Stunde zu erreichen!! Wir werden im kommenden Herbst noch einmal zu Frau Siegmund kommen..der goldenen Herbst ist schon bestellt!!Wir freuen uns schon sehr.
