Other recreational opportunities
Free entrance to three open-air swimming baths in summer. Free entry to the indoor pool year-round. Kids can enjoy the free "Kids Aktiv" programme of activities with a high-rope climbing course (for young people aged 8-18). You can also take part in adventure tours and street festivals. There's also the "Waldschnecken" ("forest snails") activity scheme for kids aged 4-10 years. There's a TÜV-certified via ferrata near the village. Star-gazing tours in the Sternepark ("Star Park") up on the Winklmoos Alm mountain pasture. The Benzeck ski lifts offer snowtubing, a sledding slope and a certification facility to provide safe fun on the snow in the valley. A curling rink next to the Glühwein (mulled wine) stand by the open-air swimming pool. Everyone can have a go at the biathlon with laser guns.
Holiday destination
The mountainous skiing village of Reit im Winkl is one of the very best destinations for hikers. Its excellent chances of having snow throughout the season have made it famous far beyond Bavaria's borders. The village has a unique atmosphere thanks to its well-kept old farmyards in a Chiemgau style that have retained their original, authentic charm. The village provides pure natural surroundings, cultural events and lots of sporting activities for young and old alike. The range of leisure activities on offer leaves nothing to be desired. The village sits at an altitude of 695m, right in the middle of the Bavarian Alps. Its high location means that the heat in summer is moderate and the nights are pleasantly cool. Park your car and leave it there! You can set off on cycling and hiking trips right from the front door. Or perhaps you'd prefer to head off on a day trip?
Getting there
If you're coming from Munich-Salzburg on the A8, take the exit in Bernau and follow the signs to Reit im Winkl. Drive past the church. After approx. 1 km you'll see a route to Tirol ("the Tyrol"). The Kaiserfeld holiday house will be on your right-hand side.

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub in Reit im Winkl. Sehr freundliche und liebe Vermieter. Eine sehr hochwertige Ferienwohnung mit herrlichem Balkon, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und an der Ausstattung fehlte es an Nichts. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und würden diese Ferienwohnung sofort wieder buchen.

Wir (Eltern + 1 Kind) hatten einen tollen Urlaub, was nicht zuletzt an dieser wunderschönen Wohnung mit ihren herzlichen Gastgebern lag. Die Wohnung befindet sich in idealer Lage um Ausflüge zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto (etwa nach Österreich zur Steinplatte) zu starten. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen, ist hochwertig und man merkt mit wie viel Liebe und Geschmack die Wohnung eingerichtet wurde. Wir haben uns unendlich wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gern wieder. Lieblingsplatz: der große Balkon
