Anniversary – 2007 – 50 years of Mörbisch lake festivals From 12 July-26 August, performances of the “Wiener Blut” [„Viennese Blood“] operetta [by Johann Strauss the Younger]. Up to 200,000 visitors per year Nordic walking courses, coach rides. Guided tours of local area with our mayor. Visit to museum of local history, wine tasting, Solar-heated adventure swimming pool, Water playground, Hiring out of sailing boats, electric boats and pedal boats.
Holiday destination
Mörbisch is located on the western bank of the Neusiedlersee [Neusiedl Lake], surrounded by vineyards and reed belts. There are many cycle and hiking paths, including some across the border into Hungary. The Freistadt [Free Town] of Rust has a nice old centre. The town houses located along the main street are worth seeing. There is also St. Margareten with its Roman quarry where every year, in July and August, opera festivals take place in an open-air theatre (for example, “Nabuko” in 2007). You can take a boat tour on Neusiedlersee [Neusiedl Lake] or visit the nature reserve.
Getting there
By car: Coming from Vienna, the A2 then the A3 to south Eisenstadt and continue in the direction of Mörbisch. By train: Eisenstadt train station, bus transfer possible. By aeroplane: Vienna Schwechat, bus transfer possible

Halllo liebe Familie Freiler, Tolles Appartement, alles da, was benötigt wird, tolle Gegend, wir waren viel wandern und das Fahrradfahren ist auch nicht zu kurz gegekommen. Unser Hund hat sich auch richtig wohl gefühlt, die stundenlangen Wanderungen in den Weinbergen waren auch für ihn ein tolles Erlebnis. Dann die supertolle Betreuung von Ihnen - Frau Freiler- so herzlich. Rundum ein gelungener Urlaub für uns- so richtig zum entspannen und relaxen bei viel Bewegung und abendlichem Heurigen.
