Other recreational opportunities
Visiting the fjord of Flensburg is very much worth while because of the cities of Glücksburg and Flensburg on the German side or the so called ox islands on the northern, the Danish side of the fjord. If you like the rough climate of the Nortjh Sea try a day trip to Husum or board a ferry to the islands of Föhr and Amrum at Dagebüll harbour.
Holiday destination
The so called Schlei-Region is valuated especially by sailors, bikers, kite- and windsurfers. Visit the small cities of Kappeln, Arnis and Maasholm historically known from small ship yards and fishing. Nowadays they are home for all types of sail boats and water sports. Take a passenger ship to Schleswig which is famous for its cathedral, the palace of Gottorf and the museum Haitabu an ancient settlement of the Vikings. Or take the boat to Schleimünde and its birds sanctuary of Oehe.
Getting there
Travel by car: Motorway A 7 from Hamburg to the north until exit Büdelsdorf (1. exit after the North Sea - Baltic Sea - Canal), take road B 203 to Eckernförde, through the city, then to the right on B 286, for 23 km until just before Kappeln, turm right for 400 m and then right again into "Ostseestraße" for another 4 km. Over there turn left into Norddamm and follow the road (it is a damm in the sea). At the end it becomes "Auf der Ostsee" - Nr. 25 is the end of your journey.

Ein sehr schönes Haus. Eine gute Ausstattung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der direkte Blick auf die Ostsee war Traumhaft. Das Ressort Olpinitz hat uns nicht gefallen ,zuviel Verkehr, kein Rad -und Fußweg. Vom Baulärm haben wir nichts mitbekommen. Wir haben die Ruhe genossen. Vielen Dank an Frau Günner , das wir in ihrem Haus Urlaub machen konnten !

Man muss kein Fan dieses großen Urlaubsressorts sein, um sich im Haus Anby rundum wohlzufühlen. Es ist ein schönes Holzhaus, was sich schon von außen von den viiiielen anderen Häusern abhebt. Die Ausstattung ist wunderbar. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll, hochwertig und liebevoll im Scandi-Stil eingerichtet. Wir hatten wunderbares Septemberwetter, aber auch wenn das Wetter mal kurzfristig nicht so dolle war oder man sich ausruhen wollte, war der Blick von der Terrasse und sogar vom Sofa auf das Meer und die Schleimündung einzigartig schön! Man lebt in diesem Haus nicht nur am, sondern mit dem Meer. Und in der Nachsaison war es auch wunderbar ruhig.
