Zoutelande is a seaside resort with the most sunshine hours in the Netherlands. The coast near Zoutelande is therefore also called the Zeeland Riviera, with beautiful beach pavilions that are open even in winter. The bathing water is exceptionally clean. The sandy beach is five kilometers long and is protected by high dunes.
The unique nature where the sea transitions into land features beautiful natural areas with an extensive network of hiking and cycling paths that take you past many towns such as Vlissingen, Middelburg, and Veere, as well as past many attractions.
Thanks to the Westerschelde tunnel, Belgium is easily accessible by car from Zeeland. Cities like Antwerp, Bruges, Ghent, and Knokke are perfect for a day trip.
