Holiday destination
It is only 10min from the picturesque village Amelsen to a major forest, the nature reserve Solling-Vogler. The river Weser and the mountain Harz are not far either. The city of Dassel, only a few kilometers from Amelsen, has a tradition as a climatic spa. There are a number of small but worthwhile locations nearby. The city of Einbeck, about 9 km away, impresses visitors not only through its beer but also through its medieval studwork houses. One of Einbeck's highlights - especially for motorbike and oltimer enthusiasts - is a recently opened museum: the PS-Speicher. The picturesque land scape invites for cycling, horse riding, hiking, motorbiking, jogging, barbecues, celebrating, playing, or simply relaxing and getting a good sleep.
Getting there
Via car on the A7, take exit Northeim/Einbeck and continue on the B3 toward Einbeck and Stadtoldendorf respectively, driving through Kohnsen and Vardeilsen before arriving at Amelsen. Coming from the West, you pass Beverungen and driven through the Solling via Dassel, Eilensen and Deitersen before reaching Amelsen.

Wir waren im November mit Kind und Kegel (6 Erwachsene, 4 Kleinkinder) schon einmal im Ferienhaus Walnuss. Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir im Januar gleich nochmal 8 Tage gebucht haben, diesmal zu zweit. Das Wetter war naß und kalt, und wir beide gesundheitlich so angeschlagen, dass wir tagelang das Haus nicht verlassen haben. Dafür haben wir die schöne Wohnung in vollen Zügen genossen. Mit behaglicher Wärme aus dem Holzofen, gute Matratzen, Erkältungsbad in der großen Badewanne, lecker kochen auf dem Profi-Gasherd. Wir lieben die große Wohnküche! Und dass der Charakter des schönen Fachwerkhauses voll erhalten wurde bei der Modernisierung. Die Vermieter sind ausgesprochen freundlich und erfüllen jeden Extrawunsch, sie haben uns sogar das Fahrrad extra hergerichtet. Wir kommen gerne noch weitere Male!
