Holiday destination
The "Gamla Skolan" is located amidst the nature and surrounded by forests and meadows. Just a few metres from the house are marked hiking trails. From July you can pick blueberries and mushrooms directly in front of the door. Nearby is a 18-hole golf course. The lake Vätternsee is just a few metres from our house and suitable for swimming and fishing. For all hikers, the Tiveden National Park is a must. Information and tips are available at the holiday house. A visit to the castle Karlsborg is highly recommended. Hjo, Askersund, Vadstena, Gränna, Jönköping and Habo are just a few recommendations for trips around the Vätternsee. Peter and I are happy to help, also if it should come to visits to the doctor and such likes.
Getting there
By car:
For example from Denmark take the Öresund Bridge to Sweden. Or you could go by ferry from Helsingör to Helsingborg, which takes about 20 minutes.
Take the E4 to Jonköping and then take the 195 on the western bank of the Vetternsee in northern direction. Look out for place-name signs like Hjo-Karlsborg-Askersund. Stay on the 195. Approx. 20km after Hjo you will see the place-name signs Brevik (to the right) and Tibro (to the left). Turn left towards Tibro. After 1km you can see the Gamla Skolan on the left-hand side. Welcome!

Host informationMy husband Peter, our dog Sissi and I are looking forward to welcome you at our "Gamla Skolan". We have bought this old school building, which used to be a missionary house as well, in 2008. Since then we have carefully redecorated and refurbished this house.

Hallo Ihr Lieben,vielen Dank für die gemeinsame Zeit. Zum 4.Mal und dieses Mal im Herbst, haben wir eine wunderschöne Woche in in der "Alten Schule "verbracht. Es hat uns wie immer an nichts gefehlt und deshalb kommen wir im nächsten Jahr gerne wieder. Die Wohnung kann ich auch in der Nachsaison weiterempfehlen. Ein Kamin sorgt für eine angenehme Wärme. Draußen steht eine Grillkotta zur Verfügung,falls es zum Grillen draußen zu kalt sein sollte. Allen zukünftigen Urlaubern wünschen wir einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Liebe Grüße Jörg ,Yvonne und Nala.

Liebe Christine, lieber Peter,
was soll man sagen? Wir durften nun bereits zum vierten Mal bei euch in der tollen und liebevoll eingerichteten Gamla Skolan, in der es buchstäblich an nichts fehlt, unseren Sommerurlaub verbringen und wir können uns nur wieder für die wundervolle Gastfreundschaft bedanken. Wir haben uns wieder wie zu Hause gefühlt und mit jedem Mal fällt uns der Abschied schwerer. Auch dieses Mal konnten wir wieder, natürlich auch dank eurer guten Tipps, vieles Neues entdecken. Urlaub bei euch tut einfach gut und wir waren auch nicht das letzte Mal hier. Wir freuen uns schon jetzt ganz riesig auf den nächsten Urlaub und das Wiedersehen mit euch.
