Cancellation policy
Cancellation by the renter
The renter is at any time entitled to withdraw from the rental contract. The cancellation notice will be effective once it is received by the lessor. In order avoid any discrepancies later on, it is strongly recommended to do this in writing (letter, email)! If the renter cancels up to 12
weeks prior to arrival, there are no costs involved. In case a deposit was paid,
the amount will be refunded. If the lessee cancels after the aforementioned 12 weeks, the host may, in accordance with Clause 651j BGB, request a reasonable compensation on behalf of the lessor. Compensation payment: up to 90 days prior to arrival - 25% of the total rental price;
up to 60 days prior to arrival - 35% of the total rental price;
up to 30 days prior to arrival - 50% of the total rental price;
later than that or in case of a no-show: 100% of the total rental price.

Holiday destination
Our holiday home borders on the river Sieg, situated on one of very few water properties on a river in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The Windeck region: only 60 km from Cologne, 90 km from Düsseldorf and 50 km from Bonn, the most beautiful section of the river Sieg; in the heart of the nature park Bergisches Land you'll find the recreation area 'Windecker Ländchen'. This is where the Sieg runs in winding loops.
In the Sieg valley, forested hilltops rise from from 100 to 378 metres in height, with over 100 picturesque residential areas, farmsteads, villages and hamlets scattered amidst the hills.
Half of the Windecker Ländchen consists of forests and offers tranquillity and recreation. 300 km of bike paths and hiking trails make it an ideal area for cycling and hiking.
Getting there
The nearest autobahn exits are about 25 km away. After taking the exit, either drive past the small rivers Beöl, Anger or Sieg on picturesque streets, or from Murch through the low mountain range region Bergisches Land until you reach our house.

Wir haben mit unserer Familie ein sehr angenehmes Wochenende im "Siegglück" verlebt. Das Haus ist recht sauber und vollständig ausgestattet. Im großen, hohen Wohn-Essraum mit Küchenzeile kann man sich am Kaminofen sehr wohlfühlen. Der Blick von dort hinaus in den Garten zur Sieg mit dem Wehr ist phantastisch. Die Umgebung lud uns trotz sehr wechselhaftem Wetter zu wunderschönen Wanderungen ein. Der Weg im Ortszentrum (jenseits der Sieg) ist kurz, so dass alle Geschäfte fußläufig erreichbar sind.
Der vorbereitende Kontakt zu den Eigentümern klappte hervorragend. Vielen Dank.

Für unsere diesjährige Familienfreizeit mit unseren erwachsenen Kindern hatten wir das Glück, ganz kurzfristig das Ferienhaus Siegglück mieten zu können. Dort haben wir trotz Corona drei sehr schöne Tage verbracht - wir wußten gar nicht, daß es so nah vom Ruhrgebiet aus ein solch idyllisches Fleckchen Erde gibt! Die Lage des Hauses an der Sieg ist traumhaft; außerhalb der Vogelschutzzeiten kann man direkt im Fluß baden. Der Ort Dattenfeld ist nicht besonders aufregend, aber man kann unmittelbar vom Haus aus loswandern - klasse! Das Haus selbst ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht; der hohe Wohnraum vermittelt eine besonders schöne Atmosphäre, und die Gartensauna war das Tüpfelchen auf dem I. Der E-Mail-Kontakt zum freundlichen Vermieter funktionierte schnell und reibungslos. Klare Empfehlung!
