Holiday destination
Healthy and cheap: In Diebach and the surrounding area you can buy fresh and healthy food and meat directly from the farmer. Supermarkets etc. 4 km away. Family-friendly, small restaurants spoil you and your loved ones inexpensively and deliciously. There are also addresses for discerning gourmets. There is now a 40 square meter sauna area with a 2.10 x 2.70 cm sauna cabin. A spacious shower area with 2 showers and huge rain shower shower plates in addition, as well as a really ice-cold waterfall shower ....brrrrr!!...complete the wellness experience. Between sauna sessions you can cool down on 4 leather loungers with blankets or on a balcony directly above the rushing river with a wonderful view. About 8 people - always 4 in rotation - can use the sauna. In 2 of the 3 residential units you can cuddle up in front of a warm fireplace. A modern pellet heating system and our self-produced electricity from hydropower allow an almost CO2-free holiday. Charging of e-cars and e-bikes possible. Activities: The Franconian Saale Valley is a beautiful holiday region. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools with beach volleyball facilities (4 km). Climbing opportunity on a former bridge pillar. Boat rentals/boating alone or as guided canoe tours...... Interesting: wayside shrines, ruins, half-timbered houses, sights and various museums offer pure culture. Wine tasting, cellar and vineyard tours are a must in traditional Franconia, as are the numerous 'festivals' in the original villages.

Wir (2 Ehepaare, ein Teenager und ein Hund) haben eine wunderbare Woche in der Igelmühle verbracht. Eine absolute Empfehlung für größere Gruppen, welche es gern etwas urig mögen. Die Ferienwohnungen sind liebevoll restauriert und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Gastgeberpaar ist aufgeschlossen, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der direkt von der Ferienwohnung begehbare Garten mit überdachten Sitzgelegenheiten und Grillnutzung lockt bei schönem Wetter nach draußen. Technikinteressierte bekommen auf Wunsch auch mal eine Führung durch das Generatorenhaus, denn die Mühle produziert Elektroenergie. Die Rödermühle ist idealer Ausgangspunkt, um das Fränkische Weinland zu erkunden und bei einem guten Tropfen kann man den Tag vor dem Kaminfeuer gemütlich ausklingen lassen.

Der Kontakt und verlief immer sehr freundlich und Rückmeldungen waren sehr zügig. Christa Schmitt und Hermann waren sehr nett und entgegenkommend. Das Haus und das Grundstück sind sehr einladend, gemütlich, gepflegt und sauber. Wir waren in der Igelmühle, welche bis zu 12 Personen ausgelegt ist. Es ist ein Grill und Feuerschale sowie Zubehör und Holz vor Ort. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Igelmühle wirklich vollstens weiterempfehlen !
