2 Bedroomed stone cottage in a very quiet and peaceful location, set in 1.5 hectares of landscaped gardens and a private lake. Renovated for the 2019 season by Jean-Yves and Sylvie, the property has a kitchen/dining room with fireplace, and a separate living area with wood-burner. There is also separate WC. Upstairs, there is a double bedroom and a bedroom with 3 single beds, with a shared shower room between the 2 bedrooms. There is a large garden and a lake with an island with rowing boat and pedalo. The cottage is away from any roads and very peaceful.
Local restaurants often accept dogs on their terrace, and there are beaches nearby where they can run freely. We have a boat and a pedalo on our lake you can use to visit the geese on our island!

Just 15 minutes from beautiful uncrowded sandy beaches. Our village is also on the network of the "voies vertes" footpaths, a great way to explore the surrounding countryside. Day trips include boat rides to the Channel Islands, the mont-Saint-Michel , Bayeux and more locally the fishing ports of Portbail and Carteret have excellent restaurants.

We have lived and worked in Paris for many years but have decided to retire to an area we have always loved, Le contentin in Normandy. We purchased and renovated La Fontaine in 2018, we live next door to the cottage but not too close, so you have your own private space but we are on hand if you have any questions. We have a lovely friendly labrador, and we speak English and French, and have a German speaking friend nearby in cas of emergencies! We look forward to meeting you! Sylvie and Jean-Yves
