This lovely holiday apartment is situated in a quiet location, with plenty of privacy, on a spacious forest plot of 800 m². It is one of the most beautifully located holiday stays in Friesland.
The living room with an open kitchen is equipped with a spacious dining area for up to 8 people and a cozy sitting area. There are doors leading to the forest garden from both the dining and sitting areas. The forest garden, with a south-facing terrace, is wonderfully sunny and also offers shady spots among the old trees. On the ground floor is the bathroom with a double sink and shower. There is also an extra toilet and a built-in wardrobe. On the upper floor, there are 4 bedrooms with comfortable spring mattresses, reading lamps, and a clock radio. The holiday home is cozy and equipped with a lot of luxury and comfort.
At a short distance, you'll find the Ijsselmeer and the beautiful inland lakes of Friesland (great opportunities for water sports). The village of Oudemirdum offers various amenities (supermarket, bakery, butcher, restaurants, bicycle rental, and a bank). Just outside the village, you'll find a lovely beach pavilion on the Ijsselmeer coast. Gaasterland itself is slightly hilly with forests and endless views. In the vicinity, there are several ancient cities of the 11 Frisian cities. Gaasterland has numerous hiking, cycling, and horseback riding trails. There's a large children's playground in Rijs and a 9-hole golf course, as well as a tennis court near Oudemirdum.
